On Tuesday, June 9, John appeared at the National Fatherhood Initiative's 2009 Military Fatherhood Award Ceremony. He performed a few songs and also received a special Fatherhood Award! Hey Southern California Five For Fighting fans...and those who are willing to do a little traveling...opportunity knocks! On August 29, John will be performing at the 2009 Firestorm Benefit Concert at Six Flags Magic Mountain! This event will raise money for the victims of the recent fires in Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, Orange and Riverside Counties. Tickets are on sale now! The 4th Annual Augie's Quest Bash took place on March 18th in San Francisco. The event successfully raised $623,555 for Augie's Quest and ALS research. It was a fun and inspiring evening, thanks in part to John's wonderful performance of his song entitled Augie Nieto. See the photos from the Bash at the Augie's Quest website. John has contributed a song to an awesome, critically acclaimed documentary entitled Brothers At War. This film depicts the life of our soldiers currently serving on the front lines, and the families and loved ones that they leave behind. John's song called Brothers In Arms, plays during the closing credits of the film. Brothers At War is now showing in limited release at select theaters .
